Beekeeping Update January 2018

Have been hefting the hives again, good to see the bees out spring cleaning when it was warm. Keeping the entrances clear of dead bees, there are always a few winter losses.

Time to paint up and repair that pile of damaged equipment in the corner of the garage, ready for the new season.

Ah, the new season is not far away, what are my beekeeping aims this year, consolidation or increase or trying new methods, or breeding techniques, courses, lectures, so much to think about.

Definitely increase, will try a Top Bar this year with full foundation.
